Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology Unit

Scientific Activities

1- There is a weekly scientific meeting in the unit to:
A- Debating the scientific cases presented by the various departments in El-Kasr Al-Aini hospital
B- Presenting a scientific lecture on all that is new in the specialization of rheumatology and immunology
C- Presenting a lectures to young doctors on the basics of specialization of rheumatology and immunology
2- Scientific days are provided with the participation of the different departments of the college periodically
3- Participation is made annually in the scientific conference of the Egyptian Society of Rheumatology and immunology
4- Participation annually in the annual conference of regional universities in the specialty

1. Teaching courses are conducted for the kinetic sonar in the unit.
2. Residents doctors and house officer doctors are trained on clinical cases.
3. Participation in teaching and exams of the first part of master degree of rheumatology and rehabilitation department.
4. Supervision of different thesis in conjunction with different departments.

Clinical Activities

1- The presence of free clinics in the outpatient clinics in Kasr Al-Aini hospital:
A- A general clinic that deals with about 45 patients per week (on Sundays every week)
B- The Behçet and Vasculitis Clinic that deals with about 25 patients per week (on Tuesdays every week)
2- The presence of Bagger treatment clinics in the rheumatology and immunology room in the Internal Medicine Hospital:
A- General clinic that deals with about 25 patients per week (on Tuesdays every week)
B- The systemic lupus erythematosus clinic that deals with about 25 patients per week (every Wednesday)
3- Providing a one-day service for suspending intravenous therapeutic solutions and drugs for autoimmune patients in the Bagger Therapy Unit in the Rheumatology and Immunology Room of the Internal Medicine Hospital
4- Providing a kinetic sonar service at the Bagger treatment unit in the Rheumatology and Immunology room at the Internal Medicine Hospital
5- Providing the service of studying microscopic capillaries in partnership with the vascular unit in the Bajer treatment unit in the Rheumatology and Immunology room of the Internal Medicine Hospital

1. Providing the outpatients with tests for a nominal fee or for free, through donations and cooperation with the laboratory department.
2. Providing free x-rays to outpatients.
3. Providing many medicines for outpatients free of charge, through donations.
